Update on Radiation

• Ye's slides: [] Converted simulated Edep to radiation dose.
• Preshower beamtest radiation dose is above SoLID running, but Shower beamtest dose is about half of SoLID running;
• current simulation does not have layer ID of Shower, this is a bit time- and disk- consuming to add.

Pion rejection study

• Mike's slides: PID_Update
• Good progress, next need to estimate electron and pi0 background in the "clean" pion sample, correct it if possible; then proceed to high rate runs

Discussions

• NPS: Some NPS PMTs have begun failing due to a piece in the voltage regulator (part of active base) which is not radiation hard
